ABOUT

Owner & Studio Manager –Dear cherished members of our yoga community,

I wanted to take a moment to personally introduce myself and
express my heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to embark on this incredible journey with you all.
My name is Meg, I am thrilled to be a part of the House of Yoga family.
I will be working alongside Ani to manage and care for the studio.

Allow me to share a glimpse into my personal path that has led me to this transformative moment.
Throughout my life, I have embarked on diverse endeavours.  Little did I know that studying Yoga alongside Jane 5 years ago would pave the way for this beautiful chapter in my life.

Prior to immersing myself in the world of yoga, I had dedicated my time to being a qualified Early Childhood Educator—a profession I held dear to my heart. My love for children is boundless, and their presence fills me with joy and adoration. As a proud mother to my 10-month-old son, being the best mama to him is a role I cherish deeply.

Yoga has become my sanctuary, my medicine for the soul. It extends far
beyond a mere practice; it has become a way of being—a compass guiding me through life’s journey. The profound transformation I experienced as a Yoga teacher awakened a newfound confidence and zest for life. It revealed to me that I have an abundance to offer the world.

One of my deepest passions lies in creating connection and support through community. I have discovered immense fulfilment in bringing
people together, nurturing them, and guiding them on their paths to healing. Drawing from my training as a beauty therapist, I incorporate pampering and nurturing treatments and events to create a holistic experience of well-being. As a conduit for healing, I am particularly drawn to trauma-informed yoga. Creating safe and welcoming spaces where individuals can find solace and feel invited is at the heart of my mission. I am committed to providing a sanctuary where each and every one of you can embark on your own transformative journeys.

Beyond my yoga teaching in which I have studied Hatha, Vinyasa, Pre & Postnatal, Restorative and Yin Yoga. I was manager and senior aerial teacher at Float Fitness, I am a Level 2 AntiGravity® Instructor, trained in Fundamentals 1&2, AirBarre, Pilates, Restorative Yoga, and Aerial Yoga.

Living amidst the serenity of a rural setting of Whakamarama. I embrace a naturalistic lifestyle with my son Teo and partner Terrence. Spending time outdoors, connecting with nature, and savouring precious moments with my little one and partner brings me immense joy and fulfilment.
